Mamavation Monday: Did you exercise today?

Well I'm happy to say I almost completed the exercise plan I had for myself for the week. On Wednesday I had planned to take a 4 mile walk but it was cold & rainy & I have a little baby with a runny nose so I didn't think it was wise to take him out!! It's nice out today though & I set aside Sundays to make-up anything I missed so I will probably take my walk today!

One thing I struggled with this week was encouraging myself to workout. When I did the burpee challenge & the 2 week challenges I always had @PamelaMKramer or @MrBookieboo asking me if I had exercised that day. That was all I needed to get my workouts done. Just someone asking me. So I had an idea, if any of you would like me to tweet you daily & simply ask you "Did you exercise today?" please leave your twitter ID below or tweet me (@mamasarahjane). You don't even have to answer me, it will just be a gentle reminder. I think this will help me out as well because I don't like to be a hypocrite! Also, if someone else is already doing this, please let me know! I don't want to steal anyones thunder!!

What is your plan to avoid overindulging during holiday feasts?
I think Thanksgiving will be easy, we are going to my mother's house and she is a "health freak" there are usually tons of healthy options. On Christmas we usually have a pot luck dinner at a relatives house so I think if I eat a big breakfast before we go & bring a healthy dish to eat there I will be okay. I'll be okay, right??

  1. You will be okay because you are planning ahead. You do have a game plan.
I would volunteer to tweet you, but I know I would be bad at it because I don't remember things until after midnight 3 days late. I'm still trying to figure out how tomorrow is Monday when I thought it was Wednesday, lol.
I'll tweet you a remise when I remember though...hugs for being amazing! You deserve them :)

  2. I agree with Megan, planning ahead and having that game plan in place is going to help you. So great job on that.

Maybe you need to do a hashtag type thing, like we do with #eatAM. I'm all for gentle (and not so gentle sometimes)reminders though. @AndreaEmilien I'll do my best to grace you with a tweet or two if I can remember. :)

  3. Mark is starting back early December. You guys should really start some accountability groups in between campaigns. That might help. If you want to post about it in on Bookieboo.com that would be cool!

  5. You are doing an awesome job! I love the way you set aside Sundays as catchup days - great idea! I do something similar with setting aside several timeframes during the day for workouts. Love it!

I also love your idea about tweeting - I would love to have you tweet me to ask if I've worked out and I can definitely volunteer to return the favor! I'm @way2gomom :-)

  6. That is really great that you are attending a "healthy option" Thanksgiving. Wish I could say the same. Keep up the great work with your exercise as well.

  7. I like your accountability tool - it will be hard to avoid exercising if you are tweeting others. Have a great holiday.

  9. you will do great. I think that is a great game plan for not eating too much on thanksgiving. I haven't had too big of an appetite last few days I am guessing due to this cold. hoping it lasts. :) we are having thanksgiving here at home this yr.
