Mamavation Monday: Week 5

Well, this week has pretty much sucked. I really miss my husband. My 3 year old was sick all night Sunday and Monday morning. When I brought him to preschool on Wednesday I was informed the school would be closing in 30 days and Thursday I had the flu. I had to drop out of the 2 week challenge so I could focus my energy on finishing the 100 Day Burpee Challenge. (It's day 97!) I've been wanting so badly to get to 10,000 steps a day but I've really been struggling with that. I'm normally a pretty optimistic person but it was just one thing after the other this week. I finally just decided i'm entitled to a bad week, it is what it is.

On the bright side, my husband comes home on Wednesday! I'm going to start C25K then so it should be a lot easier to get in 10,000 steps. I found a new preschool that I love for my son. I've made it through almost the entire 100 Day Burpee Challenge (3 more days!) and I will finish the 2 week challenge, just not with everyone else. Oh and I'm down to my pre-pregnancy weight! (Thanks flu!) I am looking forward to putting this week behind me and starting fresh!

  1. I just want you to know that this week has been rough. I think someone wrote that into the plan. It's hard to take on the world every single day. I've found it is easiest for me to hit 10,000 steps in one big lump for an hour quick paced walk.
You've had a lot on your plate this last week. I like to call that a preparation moment. Just think of how prepared you will be the next time.
    Big Hugs!

  2. Wow that week did start off bad, but it is looking so much brighter towards the end.

You are doing so good. 97 days doing burpees (I just found out what those things were, OMGoodness)

    Yay on more steps too.

  3. Nothing like the flu to make you drop weight - not that that's the way you want to lose it... Sounds like you struggles managed to turn into some positives this week.

  5. I just about had a panic attack thinking about pre-school and finding one for the little dude. How did you start looking?

Congratulations on getting through the 100 day burpee challenge! Close to 100 burpees/day would certainly make 10,000 steps come a lot less easily, so great job and keep up the good work!

  10. Congrats on Burpee challenge. I do my steps mostly in the 30 minutes I get home from work. 4 miles is usually about 6-7,000 steps.
