Mamavation Monday

I'm so excited for the launch of the new mamavation campaign! I can't wait to show my support for the new moms and to follow along.

One of my goals for this year was to run a 5K (or road race) every month of 2012. I'm not starting off well. I hurt my knee pretty badly mid-december and it's still giving me trouble every once in awhile. Also, I can not find a road race for this time of year! So, instead of giving up I decided I will hit up the gym and do a 5K on the elliptical. The elliptical hasn't bothered my knee yet since it is so low-impact. I'm also planning on getting a yoga for runners dvd so I can try to strengthen and stretch the areas that need it!

Who is your biggest inspiration when it comes to healthy lifestyle?
One of my biggest inspirations is my mom. She is always cooking with fresh produce, she hardly eats any processed foods. She is always taking classes at the gym, doing yoga at home & riding her bike!

  1. Good luck on the 5k! Sorry to hear about hurting yor knee. (not fun) I've done a 5k walk and hope to do a 5k in the future. not any time soon but it's in my book to do list. Have agreat week!

  2. I love that your mom is your inspiration for living healthy. So many of us can't say that.
    Injury is no fun, but you are so resourceful to commit to a 5k on the elliptical. Way to stick to your goal.
