Well, I would like to say that this week was as awesome as last week... I would really like to say that but it would be a lie! It started off really well, on Monday I took a 3 mile hike with my little guy in the baby carrier backpack. That was quite a workout!! I also went to the gym later that day after I put the kids to bed. On Tuesday and Wednesday I did my Jillian Michaels dvd and that was pretty much it for the week. We did take a nice family walk after dinner last night, i'm loving this warm weather!
I have been doing pretty good food-wise. I stopped drowning my coffee in milk and sugar and I have learned that I love it with just a dash of sugar & a splash of milk. I also haven't been mindlessly going to the fridge and eating a piece of bread or cheese (this used to happen frequently.)
So it's a new week and it's time to get back on track with my exercise!
How do you keep yourself active, when you really don’t feel like working out ?
This is a tough one, it's something I struggle with. Last night it was beautiful out and the idea of taking a family walk after dinner sounded great but I really didn't feel like it. The boys still needed to have baths and get ready for bed and all I wanted to do was go to sleep myself. So instead of just staying home I said out loud "Let's take a walk after dinner." My 3 year old was so excited that he finished all his dinner and was like "C'mon, let's go!"
Kids are a great motivator and the walk gave me a nice energy boost that I definitely needed to get through our bedtime routines!

I love the walks too, especially with the nice weather. I find it harder to actually workout when it is so nice out.
ReplyDeleteI get in those moods too where i don't want to take a walk sometimes. I end up doing situps and crunches when i don't take a walk. one way or the other i do something because i'll regret it later when i don't.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever want to hold yourself to something, just tell the kids! They'll remind you every chance they get. I told my daughters that I was trying to eat healthier and not drink soda and they hold me to it!
