I’ve had a busy week preparing for my baby’s 1st birthday this coming weekend. I can’t believe he’s going to be one! Yesterday I took him for his first haircut and he looks like such a big boy now. We’ve been cleaning up our yard and our house preparing for his party, we even got a hand-me-down swing set and tore down our hideous old shed. I can’t wait to see the house and yard all cleaned up nice!
I didn’t have a whole lot of time to work on my exercise challenges but I did get a few workouts in. I also didn’t start the boot camp class yet, apparently everyone else was as nervous about it as I was and it has gotten pushed off. I decided that if we don’t start it by June I am just going to start it on my own since I have already paid for it!
I am very happy to say that the night I was supposed to start the boot camp class I went to the gym to do 5K on the elliptical and I finished the 3.1 miles in 29 minutes! This is a new personal best for me, the fastest I’ve ever done it before was 34 minutes. I was so excited and I am really looking forward to the 5K I’m running at the end of the month and the mamavation 5K at the end of June.
Here’s where I’m at with my challenges:
C25K finished through Week 5 Day 2 – the next time I do it I have to run for 20 minutes straight…somebody hold me!!!
hundred pushups finished through Week 2 Day 2 – I’m up to 16 push ups (and those are regular man-like pushups! lol)
Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred finished through Week 1 Day 4 – I’m having a hard time finding the time to do this but I will get it done!
