Mamavation Monday: Let’s take this back to the start


I’ve decided that my ancestors must have been bears.  When the cold weather hits you can find me rifling through the cupboards looking for any food that is available for immediate consumption.  I move as little as possible (to conserve my energy, of course) and all I wish for is to be cozy and warm and asleep.  I am in hibernation mode and I am having a tough time combatting it.  After all, I am fighting my innate instincts.

These behaviors are not good for someone that is trying to stay in shape.  I’ve noticed my ‘get-up-and-go’ is gone.  So I’m taking baby steps to get it back.  This week I’m focusing on drinking lots of water and getting 10,000 steps a day.  I’ve noticed already that all the water intake is curbing my need to eat incessantly.  I’m hoping by next week this will become a habit and I will easily be able to make another healthy change!

  5. Oh my! I know what you mean about the constant eating. I guess I will try upping my water intake to see if that helps. I'm staying within my calorie intake I need to be at, but I just want to eat all the time. I feel H-U-N-G-R-Y all the time! LOL. This week we just need to think- I am a yogi, not a yogi bear! LOL. Try to keep moving. Every little bit helps.

  6. Do you have a smart phone? I have a big problem with getting in enough water, so I downloaded the app: Water Lite, you input your weight and it tells you how much water to drink every day and then gives you a grade. Since I'm a chronic over achiever, I want that dang A grade every day, so this App is perfect for me :)


  7. I totally lose so much energy in the winter! It's like being cold saps it out of me! I just try to tell myself that the first step is the hardest and that moving will make me warm
