Mamavation Monday

Only 15 days left until Christmas and I’m starting to feel the time crunch! I only got to the gym one day last week, all my other free time was spent Christmas shopping, wrapping gifts and going on an awesome Holiday House tour! If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw some pictures of the beautiful houses I toured. 

I joined a challenge group, #13in2013 with the goal of running 13 races in 2013! I’m so excited and it is definitely a big motivator.  So, even though I’m having a tough time finding time to run, I am so happy to feel motivated again! I will be going for a run tonight after dinner and hopefully on Thursday I will be heading to my local New Balance store to get professionally fitted for a new pair of running shoes!   (Yeah, that didn’t happen yesterday!!)

    You're going to love getting professionally fitted running shoes. I did that for the first time this fall, and it was worth every last penny! My feet were perfectly comfortable during and after my 5k this weekend. :)

  9. Oh...I must look into the 13 in 2013 thing! I'm nursing plantar fasciitis right now, but hope to be back to running in a month or so. And for me, I'm a teacher so I get 2 weeks off over the holidays with no grading and work to do during nap times, so you bet your butt I'll be working out during nap time.

  10. Sounds like you're setting up for a pretty awesome 2013! I can't believe Christmas is coming up so fast already! I have a hard time sneaking in fitness - I love going to Zumba, for instance, but my husband has been working a ton of overtime which means I can't get to the gym. So instead I pop a workout DVD in my laptop or do an old 2 week challenge - usually when the kids are in bed. I like working out when they're up, but I get it done faster when they're sleeping!
