I can’t believe it’s February already! Time seems to fly by once you have kids. In fact, I received a kindergarten registration packet in the mail for my oldest son today. Kindergarten! Ah!
Anyways, last week I decided I would only weigh myself one day a week instead of my normal – every time I see the scale – weigh in. It was tough, but I managed to get through the whole week and weighed in this morning. I was down 2.4 lbs! Well worth the wait.
I did do a couple things differently this week. I think I was more motivated knowing that I was giving myself a weekly weigh-in. I had breakfast every morning BEFORE I brought my son to school. It had been easier for me to get him ready and bring him in and then eat when I got home. But, I would be so hungry by the time I got home I would just shove whatever was in my reach into my mouth. I also drank plenty of water and avoided juice.
Last Monday night, I was going to head to the gym for a run on the treadmill but the roads were too icy so I popped in a pilates dvd I had received in the mail earlier that day. I wasn’t sure what to expect because I had never done pilates before, but, I loved it! In fact, I did the workout almost every single day!
This week I hope to continue with the pilates and also get some running in. I have a 4 mile road race this weekend that I’m a bit nervous about!
